What Are The Benefits of Boot Camp?

Boot camp is more effective in weight loss than steady-state exercise like running because of its structured intervals.  One of the main benefits of boot camp is that you get a lot of results in a short amount of time, and for most people, it’s much more fun than running endlessly on a treadmill or pedaling on an elliptical machine, watching the seconds tick by.

Boot camp exercises can include plyometrics, bodyweight exercises, partner resistance, cardio intervals, as well as group contests, strength training, and balance and mobility movements.  They challenge your total body so you can build muscle everywhere.  Studies have shown that when structured properly, these exercises and the tempo can raise your metabolism for 30 or more hours after exercise.  The higher your metabolism, the more fat you burn.

The instructor will keep you on task and moving, encourage you to push through it, and also ensure you start the next exercise on time; when at home you might be tempted to take a longer break, decide to quit, or otherwise get distracted.

A group session like Boot Camp gives you camaraderie and healthy competition.  It inherently pushes everyone to do their best every time.

Why spend an hour or more on a treadmill, elliptical machine, or bike when you can get a more targeted workout in less time and reap bigger benefits?!!
