Since opening Catalyst 4 Fitness, I’ve the opportunity to meet some incredible people. Each has her/his own story, obstacles, and successes. Two of these women are Susan Nerska and Gillian Atkinson – mom and daughter!
Susan, how long have we worked together? About 18 months.
How do you feel now? After a workout, I really feel like I have strengthened my body and the feeling carries over to other activities.
How has your body changed? I definitely am stronger and have more stamina.
Are you stronger? Are you surprised at what you can do now? Do you have more endurance? Yes, it’s a lot easier lifting and carrying the kayak these days and it’s improved my tennis game.
What would you tell others who are hesitant to start? Those who have just started and are struggling? Each Boot Camp is tough — I have never felt like I was not pushing my body to do more and this builds endurance which carries over to other activities. It is an excellent base to help other physical activities whether chores or pleasure. For me, Boot Camp is hard, but my tennis is better and more rewarding.
Gillian, how long have we worked together? About a year and a half.
How do you feel now? I feel pretty amazing just about all the time.
How has your body changed? I am definitely stronger and have more endurance.
Have you lost weight or changed clothes’ sizes? I have lost about 30 pounds since I started this working this program and made a few changes to my many bad habits.
Are you stronger? Are you surprised at what you can do now? Do you have more endurance? YES. No, most days I feel like I can do anything. 😉 YES!
What would you tell others who are hesitant to start? Those who have just started and are struggling? This Boot Camp program is tough but worth the pain. It is a commitment that you do have to stay with. Committing to a program is the hardest part. After that, all you have to do is show up and try your hardest and you will see results.
