21 Days to a 5K

It’s getting warmer outside and many of us are stir crazy because it seems like we’ve been in the house all winter.  Running a 5K race is a fun way to get outside, exercise and spend time with friends.  And most are organized by non-profit agencies trying to raise funds for a worthwhile cause so you’ll help your community too.

This program will get you ready to run one in just 3 weeks.

Day    Training Schedule
1        Walk 2 miles or for 25 minutes
2        Walk 2 miles or for 25 minutes

3        For 2 miles or 25 minutes, jog at least 15 seconds during every minute

When compared with an apple, a banana has 5x the vitamin A and iron, 4x the protein, 3x the phosphorus, 2x the carbohydrates, and 2x the other vitamins and minerals. It is also rich in potassium which helps muscles to contract properly during exercise and reduces cramping.

They contain three natural sugars - sucrose, fructose and glucose - which give an instant and sustained boost of energy.  Research has shown that....
